MAIL ART CALL: The Sacred Heart of Jesus

The pattern of the image of The Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ is this: a heart, with a gash in it which bleeds, surrounded by a crown of thorns, and protruding from its top, a cross.

In your own style of mail art, I would like you to repeat this pattern. The format is free, and I leave it to you to interpret how you wish using whatever medium you like. In the spirit of mail art, I give you just enough to get started.

Publicans & Sinners

This as tribute to Duchamp and his so-famous urinal; a tribute to Dadaism, a tribute to the elevation of things not generally considered worthy of intellectual or spiritual consideration; but above all, a tribute to the words of Jesus Christ when he spoke about the publican and the sinner.

A man, clothed in good garments looked upon a filthy tax collector, then prayed, "thank You, God, for not making me such a sinner as him."

That in the end days which are now upon us, may God debase the proud, and elevate poor sinners of The Earth; in the spirit of Jesus, who came, "not to call the 'righteous,' but sinners to repentance."

I ask you to use as medium a piece of toilet paper and some rubber stamps to create something beautiful.
